What I Shared on the Real Women of Real Estate Podcast
Recently, I had the privilege of joining the Girls on the Air: Real Women of Real Estate Podcast to talk about what I do as a Public Insurance Adjuster and how I help homeowners and business owners navigate the often complicated world of insurance claims. In my 10-minute segment, I had the chance to answer some key questions and share advice that’s especially important for those impacted by disasters like fires and floods.
What Is a Public Insurance Adjuster?
One of the questions I often get asked—and that I answered on the podcast—is, “What exactly does a Public Insurance Adjuster do?” Simply put, I work on behalf of property owners, not insurance companies. My job is to take the stress off your shoulders by managing the claims process for you, making sure every detail is documented and nothing gets overlooked. I also negotiate directly with your insurer to ensure you get the settlement you truly deserve.
In the podcast, I also shared how my background—over 24 years of experience, including time as a claims manager for national insurance companies—gives me unique insight into how insurers operate. That insider knowledge is one of the ways I’m able to advocate for my clients so effectively.
Why I Do What I Do
For me, being a Public Insurance Adjuster is more than just a job—it’s about helping people during some of the toughest times in their lives. Whether you’re dealing with fire, water, storm damage, or even a business interruption, my goal is to make the process easier for you and ensure you’re treated fairly by your insurance company.
