Experienced Advocates for Complex Property Insurance Claims

When your home or business suffers serious damage, the insurance process can feel like a second disaster. Chris and Jo Faber have spent decades inside the insurance industry. Now they use that knowledge to work for you.

Two Industry Insiders,
Now Entirely on Your Side

Most public adjusters come from one side of the industry. Chris and Jo Faber come from both.

Chris spent years in leadership roles managing complex claims for major insurance carriers. He knows exactly how those companies evaluate losses, where they look for reasons to reduce payouts, and what it takes to build a claim they can’t minimize. Jo worked in large carrier claims departments before moving to legal claims analysis at a top Los Angeles law firm, where she earned her Fraud Claim Law Specialist designation.

We crossed to the policyholder side because we saw too many people settle for far less than they were owed. Together, we’ve been involved in the management of over 40,000 claims and more than $300 million recovered for clients across California.

Every claim is handled personally by us. So you’ll always know who’s working on your case.

Our Services

Comprehensive Property Insurance Claim Services

We handle the full range of residential and commercial property damage claims across California. Whether your loss is straightforward or unusually complex, we bring the same level of direct, experienced attention to every case.

Fire Damage

From kitchen fires to total losses, we document every layer of damage and fight for a settlement that covers the full cost of your recovery.

Water Damage

Burst pipes, appliance failures, and flood intrusion often hide damage behind walls and under floors. We make sure nothing is missed.

Theft and Vandalism

Stolen belongings and property damage deserve to be fully documented and fairly valued. A lowball offer is not a settlement.

Business Interruption

If damage shuts down your operations, we secure compensation for lost income, ongoing expenses, and the cost of getting back open.

Wind and Storm Damage

Roof damage, water intrusion, and structural shifts from severe weather require detailed documentation to avoid undervalued claims.

Earthquake and Collapse

Structural damage is often deeper than it appears. We bring in independent engineers and fight back when insurers blame pre-existing conditions.

Wildfire Damage

When a wildfire threatens or damages your home or business, the claims process moves fast and the stakes are high. We help California property owners document the full scope of their loss and fight for a settlement that reflects the real cost of recovery.

Additional Living Expenses

If your home is uninhabitable, you deserve full coverage for temporary housing, meals, and related costs for as long as you qualify.

Built for the Claims That Demand More

Not every claim is the same. A high-value home in a fire zone carries risk that a standard property doesn’t. A commercial property with business interruption, equipment losses, and tenant displacement involves layers of coverage that take real expertise to untangle.

We regularly handle losses in the seven-figure range. Our background inside major insurance carriers means we understand how those companies approach large claims and what it takes to present one that stands up to scrutiny.

If you own a high-value home, a multi-unit property, or a business, and you’re facing a serious loss, we’re the team that’s done it before.

My insurance company attempted to undermine my high end fire loss, I hired Chris and with his knowledge and expertise he secured a large amount of additional funds. Chris knows the ‘games’ insurance adjusters attempt to play and knows how to counter their low bids with actual current prices and details…highly recommend!

FAQs

Why should I hire a public adjuster instead of handling the claim myself?

The insurance company employs adjusters who are trained to protect the company’s interests. When you handle a claim alone, you are negotiating against professionals with far more experience in that process than most property owners will ever have. A public adjuster works exclusively for you, handles all communication with the insurer, documents your loss thoroughly, and negotiates from a position of knowledge. Our clients consistently recover significantly more than initial insurance offers.

What types of claims do you handle?

We handle the full range of residential and commercial property damage claims, including fire, wildfire, smoke and soot, water, storm and wind, earthquake and collapse, flood, vandalism and theft, business interruption, and additional living expenses. If your property has been damaged and you have an insurance policy, we want to hear from you.

How much does it cost to hire Chris Faber Public Adjusters?

There are no upfront costs. We work on a contingency basis, which means we only get paid if we recover additional funds for you. The free claim review is always the first step, with no obligation.

What if my claim was already paid or denied?

If your claim was underpaid or denied, it may not be the end of the road. We offer a free review to assess whether additional recovery is possible and what the right next step looks like for your situation. Every case is different, and we’ll give you an honest answer about your options.

How long does a typical claim take?

Every claim is different. Simple claims can resolve in weeks. Complex, large-loss, or disputed claims may take several months. Chris and Jo work to keep the process moving efficiently while making sure the full scope of your loss is properly documented before any settlement is accepted.

Is a public adjuster the same as an insurance company adjuster?

No. An insurance company adjuster represents and is paid by your insurance company. A public adjuster is a licensed professional who represents you, the policyholder, exclusively. We are licensed, bonded, and insured by the California Department of Insurance.

What is the difference between a public adjuster and an attorney?

A public adjuster specializes in documenting, presenting, and negotiating property damage claims under your policy. Attorneys address legal disputes and cannot perform the claim adjustment function that public adjusters are licensed for. We are frequently engaged by attorneys to evaluate claims and provide expert consultation on disputed cases.

Do you handle high-value homes and commercial properties?

Yes. We regularly manage large-loss claims involving high-value residential properties, multi-unit buildings, and commercial operations. Our background inside major insurance carriers gives us particular experience with the complexity those claims require. There is no claim too large for us to take on personally.
